Australia Expat Travel (AET) was born in May 2004.

It has been a long-term project of Vicki Baensch, a returned expat from Shanghai, China. Vicki and her family were expatriates in Shanghai from 2001 through to end of 2003. The family now resides back in Australia.

Vicki is an Australian who loves to explore her wonderful country. She has been travelling in Australia for over 30 years. She is married to Jamie, and they have 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 6).

It was in China that it became evident that a need exists for a travel service for expatriates wishing to travel to Australia who wanted local knowledge on where to go, what to do etc.

It is the intent of AET to offer a one-stop shop for booking holidays to Australia for expatriates in Asia. The core underlying benefits of AET are simple: local knowledge on destinations, special offers, and expatriate empathy!

The launch of AET signifies a number of supplier partnerships that are integral to the travel service that AET offers. The first is with an Australian based Travel Agency: Holiday Corner Pty Ltd  trading as Jetset Belmont. License No: 30370. The second is with a Shanghai based Travel Agency: Shanghai Eastern Air International Travel Corp. They are an accredited IATA agent.

Last but not least, Australia Expat Travel aims to ensure that the expat traveller becomes an advocate for both Australia as well as the service from AET. The aim is to delight and exceed the traveller’s expectations so much so that they are happy to tell and encourage all their expatriate friends to use Australia Expat Travel for their next holiday.
